Vincent Jacob

Vincent Jacob is Acting Head of the Global Business Unit Neurodegenerative Diseases and Rheumatology.  In this capacity, Mr. Jacob also serves as a member of the Merck Serono Executive Management Board.

Vincent Jacob was appointed Senior Vice President Head of Commercial Operations Europe within this same Global Business Unit in 2010. Previous appointments within Merck Serono include Head of the Western Europe Region and, prior to that, Managing Director of Merck Serono Germany.

Mr. Jacob joined Merck in 1983 in France with Lipha and subsequently held various general management positions in affiliates in France, Belgium and Germany, most recently as Managing Director for Merck in the Benelux region until 2007.

Prior to joining Merck, he started his career at a Rhone-Poulenc affiliate in charge of the export business in Latin America and the Middle East.

Mr. Jacob is a French national and graduated from HEC Paris. He is married and has two children.
